Glock 29sf Extended Mag - Before the term "industry disruptor" became a buzzword, Gaston Glock revolutionized the firearms industry with his Glock 17 pistol. Tough, accurate, reliable, and with a large magazine capacity, Glock pistols have been very successful. As the company refocused on the interests of commercial shooters, it also embraced larger-bore guns, producing smaller firearms like the 10mm Glock 29 and .45 ACP Glock 30, which have a loyal following.
Glock's history dates back to the early 1980s, when knife and bayonet manufacturer Gaston Glock caught wind of a competition to buy a new pistol for the Austrian army. With no experience in gun manufacturing, Glock began contract manufacturing pistols. After much research and development, he released the Glock 17. The pistol is made of polymer and steel, producing a lightweight pistol with an emphasis on reliability. Accurate (the pistol's ability to act as a natural extension of the shooter's hand-eye coordination) and highly accurate, it won an Army contract and then literally took the world by storm.

The Glock design was massive in both physical size and caliber. The original, full-sized Glock 17 was followed by the smaller, compact Glock 19 and later the subcompact Glock 26. The pistol's action was chambered from the original 9mm Luger in .380 Auto and in .40 Smith & Wesson, .45 ACP. and other heavy calibers. Manufacturing virtually the same pistol in different sizes and calibers made it easy to switch from one Glock to another. Glock's line of pistols was the first to develop into an ecosystem of small and large rifles in various calibers based on the original pistol design.

In the late 1990s, after selling the full-size 10mm and .45 ACP Glock, the company decided to skip compact-sized frames and go straight to subcompact. The result is the Glock 29 in 10mm Auto and the Glock 30 in .45 ACP. Although similar in size, the two pistols have different purposes and serve different roles.
The Glock 29 10mm Auto is designed for home defense enthusiasts, regular gun enthusiasts and hunters. Developed by Firearms Authority Jeff Cooper, the 10mm automatic round was designed as a lighter and faster alternative to the .45 ACP. The 180-grain, all-metal 10mm automatic cartridge has a muzzle velocity of 1,050 feet per second — still subsonic, but significantly faster than the .45 ACP. The lighter 10mm auto rounds accelerate to 1,500 feet per second, comfortably in the supersonic range. By comparison, a 230-grain .45 ACP full metal jacket has a velocity of only 890 feet per second. The 10mm auto wheel also provides more nose power and is compact.
The Glock 29 and Glock 30 are very similar in appearance. Both pistols have an overall length of 6.88 inches with a barrel length of 3.77 inches. The Glock 29 weighs 26.83 ounces unloaded, while the Glock 30 weighs less than half an ounce. Both pistols are 1.27 inches wide and between 4.45 inches (Glock 29) and 4.80 inches (Glock 30) tall.
The trigger pull and trigger travel are identical not only to each other, but to all Glocks with a standard 5.5 pound trigger pull and 0.49 inches of trigger travel. This consistency makes it easy to switch from one type of Glock to another - a plus for shooters and a plus for Glock marketing. Both the Glock 29 and Glock 30 get ten-round, double-stack magazines—the first pistols to pack that many rounds into a small, large-caliber frame at the time of their introduction. Like other compact Glocks, the 10mm Auto and .45 ACP versions accept magazines for the full-size versions, which are fifteen rounds for the Glock 29 and thirteen rounds for the Glock 30.
Glock G42: A Remarkable Handgun
The 10mm Glock 29 Auto and .45 ACP Glock 30 are powerful and reliable pistols despite their small compact attributes. Glock's large-bore subcompacts are similar pistols for different tasks: hunters appreciate the extra muzzle power of the 10mm Auto on dangerous game, and homesteaders appreciate the low muzzle velocity of the .45 ACP. The industry-disrupting rifle proved versatile enough to break new ground and conquer new markets. Feels and shoots like a Glock 30....Made my Glock 29 what I always wanted......Just awesome.
It is adding some weight which is a plus....But a nice grip extension has been added which makes for nice handling.....Very similar to the feel of the Glock 30. A little extra weight is gone. retracts and allows the mags to drop freely and quickly...Concealed carry is very light and very similar to the Glock 30.
29 and 30 are the same size so I don't see how that helps make it "feel" like a 30... You mean perceived pull? Also not knowing how to carry now is like 30... maybe weight? It would be great if you could give us an explanation.

Does not fit 45ACP or 10mm magazines. There are no 2 rounds included in any of the reduced capacity (Clinton) 10 round magazines.

I need to revive this thread because some options are missing and one option is missing.

The only way to add an extra to feed more rounds is to use a g20 15 round mag and buy an A&G spacer. It's not the prettiest mod, but it provides great control. The biggest problem with the scenario is that it can easily be done with practice before dropping the mag, but if about 50% of your hand is holding the scope, you lose the speed factor when reloading.
The Pierce grip extension looks and works great, but this pink horn grip can cause pull issues. I think the OP mode is one of the best, because at least it lays flat without any overload to catch anything while drawing, but there is no real extension and an extra round or two is a very unpleasant fact. Also promag and X-grip make grip and spacer extensions for glocks, but they don't make them for the 29 either, which surprised me a bit since the 29 has grown in popularity a lot in recent years.
As for the option mentioned above but not available, the x-grip I mentioned does nothing for the g29, I think they confused the g20 with the thread of the g29.
This is an old thread, you may not get a reply and you may want to revive the old thread. Consider creating a new topic.
